SNOWBALL

If you come to see 'Snowball' your story could be featured in the next performance (and for any number of shows after that). Below are recordings of every, unique, show.

Please feel free to download files (MP3s) if it makes it easier for listening. Each one is around 40 MB. Please note these are not streaming files, so you may need to download the whole thing before it will play.

If you've seen Snowball you can send us more stories or tell us what you thought of the show here.

For details of forthcoming shows go to WHAT'S ON.

'Snowball' is a continually running project from Reeling & Writhing.

It's a show that's never the same from one performance to the next. Every time it's performed the audience shares stories with us and the next time 'Snowball' appears some of those stories will have found their way into the show, replacing something that was there before. And then more shows and more stories and so on and so on.

'Snowball' is a rolling project that shares in the fluidity of memory and the exitement of favourite stories. We love performing Snowball in libraries and places where people meet.

'Snowball' is created by a company of professional actors who are adept in telling stories physically and visually as much as verbally. Between shows the actors work with the director and a writer to adapt the existing material and incorporate new material from the last show. We aim to have a completely new show every ten shows or so.

For schools or other learning environments we can provide workshops to accompany 'Snowball' for all age groups, for drama, creative writing, heritage projects, citizenship and other curriculum or extra-curriculum groups.

Running time is around 60 minutes for the performance plus between 30 and 60 minutes for the stories afterwards (and sometimes much longer when we can't stop people talking).

We will be delighted to hear from promoters, venues, schools, local authorities or libraries who would be interested in hosting 'Snowball'. Please do not hesitate to call or email.

You can download a PDF document that has a bit more information about 'Snowball' here.

If you are a teacher bringing a shools group to 'Snowball' there are some notes for you here.

'Snowball' was made possible by the Ernest Cook Trust and Glasgow Life.
